Well, now I know what release I'm going to be waiting for....I'd go ahead and watch the streamed episode if my connection was working well today. >>;;

I had more of an update, but...the bad connection is irritating me, so I'll write more later.

....so apparently I can only sleep about 5 1/2 hours here right now. On Thursday I went to bed at midnight and woke up at 5:30. Last night I went to bed at 10 and...I woke up at 3:30. Hmmmm.

So I'm just kinda up...chilling...maybe I'll be able to take a nap later in the day.

But hey, I just found something on TVTropes that makes it aaaaall better. Apparently there's a video game where the President of the United States fights in a mech against the Vice President. Which is...just...dude, I love Japan. ...Somehow, I have a feeling Caleb already knew about this one.

Well, I suppose I should update on what's actually going on: the movers are at the apartment, moving...the stuff we actually managed to get into boxes. (Believe it or not, my room is probably the most completely packed, even though I put most of it off until last night.) I'm sitting in my room--pretty much empty--while I'm waiting for them to get here. I'm here alone, unless you count Jake (my dog) who is locked out in the back--Mom wanted to hang out here, but we accidentally brought a hammer in the car that they needed to take apart some shelves, so she went back.

No air, but luckily it's not too hot today. And the basement is definitely going to work fine for days when it is too hot. There's a view of a big tree out my window....

...I'll get used to this place. It'll take a few days--maybe even after I get back from my trip--but I'll get used to it.

Okay, I'm not really feeling well, so I'm going to be brief tonight.

The interview: I messed up a little, but otherwise I think I did the best I could do. If they don't pick me...I wasn't the right person for the job, but it's because someone else was better. I feel..satisfied and proud of myself (something I rarely feel...so it's nice.) I'm going to send a follow-up card, too. I really, REALLY hope I get it! But if I don't, well...I think they'll make the right choice, even if I'm not it. I think I am, though.

THis afternoon: Blech, I feel siiiiiick. Thank goodness I wasn't like that this morning at the interview. I think I'll be okay in a day or two, though--it's nothing serious, just...enough to make me not want to do much.

Also...for those of you who, like me, actually really enjoyed rp_secrets...well, in case you haven't noticed, one of the mods deleted it for good because he was butthurt. yeah, I know. So, I'm advertising for a new community that the mods that actually did the work are starting. It's roleplaysecrets. They've already got a submissions post up. Please spread the word, guys! I'd hate to see the hard work of the mods that truly deserved to be mods go to waste. Particularly since the other com was really starting to get off the ground.

Okay, so, I've been toying with the idea of creating a Wild Mass Guessing page on TV Tropes for Princess Tutu for a while. What is a WMG page, you ask? (Or so the voice in my head asks.) Why, a WMG page is a place to both tell others about your wild fanon theories you actually believe in...annnnd some parody ones that you write in a way that (scarily enough) they could maybe make sense! (Also a GREAT place to go if you want a wacky, cracky idea for an AU and/or Crossover fanfic. Chiyo's parents from Azumanga Daioh are actually dead and she just deludes herself into thinking they're really alive? BRILLIANTLY CREEPY!)

THERE! I finally replaced all of my icons! Yaaaay~. It's not that I didn't like the icons I had uploaded here before, but I got SO TIRED of seeing the same ones over and over. Whew!

Oh, I keep forgetting to mention, I got accepted into a new RP! It's mukashixmukashi, an AU multi-fandom RP where characters are playing out the roles from fairytales. I play Mytho, and he's...the Little Mermaid.

Yes, you read that right. (Should I say "merman"?)

Buuut...yeah. It's a slow RP, but that's really what I needed. Can't really handle a big action-y RP while I'm at Poly. Kris is playing Fakir there, too. He's the Prince from the same story. (And in case you're wondering--my apologies to anyone that doesn't like yaoi--yes, Mytho and Fakir are going to be a couple. eventually. Both me and Kris think that "character development > buttsex" and we're not really interested in playing the couple without a lot of backstory being built up. For example, Mytho traded his heart for legs not to be with the Prince, but so he could dance. Sooo...yeah, very different version of The Little Mermaid, but fun.)

Also, I went to the mall last night and bought stuff from Hot Topic. Yes, I know, but Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends! I collect t-shirts with cartoon/anime characters on them, so you know. It's great, it has Blue and Cheese on it and says "Imaginary Friends Are Forever", which my entire family finds hilarious because I...never quite grew out of imaginary friends.
Oh, and i bought some rainbow stripey socks there, too. I was due for a new pair.

Bah, besides the icons I didn't get much done. But tomorrow, I will be responsible! I will:

-Make an icon post!
-Write something for 31_days!
-Finally get back into the grove on Poly!

Yeah, I finally got another 31_days fic done. I feel like it's too talky, but I like that it has hints of both of the main pairings for Duck without being hugely fluffy.

Boy, my brain hurts from all that writing, though. (And it was a SHORT fic, under 1000 words. WHERE ARE YOU, BRAIN?)

I might make a "real" entry later, but I wanted to point out that I'm writing again first. XD;; I'm trying to decide if I should post it up on the com or wait to see if I can get more done/an icon post finished first, though...

Jeremy asked me last night if I wanted to go to the mall with him and Dee (his girlfriend) today...I kinda do, but I haven't gotten a shower or laundry done yet, so now I dunno if I'll be ready in time. ^^;; I think I might call him when he gets off work and let him know that today might just not work out. I kinda want to get more done now that I'm on a roll, anyway.

So, Death Note: The Movie? As I told anyone who would listen to me last night: "CORNBALL BUT AWESOME." Also, I was incredibly surprised I didn't MIND it dubbed. And L was absolutely perfect.

I'd say more, but I stayed up too late afterwards so now I'm out of it.

Also, though! Exciting news! Crunchyroll is streaming ADV's dub of Welcome to the NHK! I've been renting the DVDs from Netflix and I can tell you that the show is FREAKING AWESOME, and the dub is excellent as well. Chris Patton (Fakir from Princess Tutu, Greed from Fullmetal Alchemist, Joshua Christopher from Chrono Crusade, Sousuke Sagara from Full Metal Panic...) is the lead character in it, and he's really, really good in the dub. One of my favorite performances of his so far, I think. (Yes, I am a huge Christopher Patton fangirl.)
But even outside my fangirling over the dub, it's a great show. Seems like a wacky comedy at first, but sort of a darkly comedic look at a hikkikomori's life. (Hikkikomori are a steadily growing problem in Japan--basically people who never leave their house and spend most of their life...doing nerdy, reclusive things like being on the internet, sleeping, and watching anime. ...Yeah, hits a liiiittle too close to home for some.) Both funny and sort of sad. I should mention that the show is, um, very M-rated, too. Because the main character is also a bit of a pervert. But if you can stomach the content, I highly recommend it.

If you haven't seen the show yet, then what in the world are you waiting for? Go watch it! NOW! GO GO GO!

Man, I just can't sleep lately, I don't know why. This happens every summer. It's like I get into a funk. Maybe I just need to get out of the house more. I need a car. But then I need money. But to get money I need a job. But if I get a job I won't have free time to go anywhere but my job THE VICIOUS CYCLE WHEN WILL IT END?

Iiiiii haven't been on Poly all day. Which I wouldn't mind so much if I actually had been doing something productive today, but I really....haven't. Nope. I feel a little lame. I really need to get going on that stuff tomorrow. (At least I"m reading THIS flist?)

Yeah, I know, I'm a total dork, but check it out! It's shiny. Woefully incomplete (I can already think of one trope I haven't added yet that I should: "With Great Power Comes Great Insanity". Plus, there's probably a better trope to explain Satella than "cool big sis", but I can't think of another one right now...). But I still feel accomplished. (Do you know how much I hate writing summaries?! That's why I loathed Chrono's history section of the application so much. XD; )
